How Photo ID Lab handles photos, accounts, and payments
Who we are
Photo ID Lab (photoidlab.com) provides an AI headshot generator and browser-based ID photo tools. Contact: support@photoidlab.com.
Two products, two rules
We run two different photo flows. The sentences below are the ones we use on the product pages — they mean the same thing here.
ID and passport photos
ID and passport photos are cropped and resized entirely in your browser — your original photo is never uploaded.
Processing happens on your device. We do not receive the original file for this flow, and we do not store the cropped result on our servers. Download your file before you leave the page.
AI headshots
Your photo is sent to our image generation service to create the headshot — we don’t store it, so download it before you leave.
The uploaded image is used only to generate the headshot. We do not keep a lasting copy of the input or the result for reuse after the session. You are responsible for downloading the output.
We do not claim that headshots “never leave your device,” that the service is “100% private,” or that “we can’t see your photos.” Those phrases would be false for the AI headshot flow.
Account and payment data
If you create an account or buy credits, we collect the email address and account details you provide, plus payment-related records from our payment processor (for example Stripe). We use that information to run your account, deliver credits, prevent abuse, and meet legal and tax obligations.
Technical and usage data
We may collect standard technical data such as IP address, browser type, and pages visited, and we may use cookies or similar technology as described in our cookie policy. This helps us operate, secure, and improve the site.
Third parties
- Image generation (AI headshots only): your photo is sent to our image generation provider solely to produce the result.
- Payments: card data is handled by the payment provider; we do not store full card numbers.
- Hosting / infrastructure: the site runs on cloud infrastructure that may process request logs.
Retention
ID crops stay on your device unless you download or share them yourself. AI headshot inputs and outputs are not kept as a reusable archive after generation. Account and payment records are kept as long as needed for the service and applicable law.
Your choices
You can download results immediately, close the page to discard in-browser work, and request account deletion where that feature is available. For privacy questions, email support@photoidlab.com.
Changes
We may update this policy. The date at the top reflects the latest revision. Continued use of the site after a change means you accept the updated policy.
